Pingelly Somerset Alliance Inc.
|
The Pingelly Somerset Alliance Inc (PSA) is an incorporated body which has evolved from the amalgamation of Pingelly Cottage Homes and Pingelly Aged Care Facility, Somerset House. The alliance was formed to strengthen the input to aged care accommodation options in Pingelly. Following the completion of the Shire of Pingelly “Age Friendly Community Plan” in March 2017, the PSA was concerned that Pingelly residents leave the district because they cannot be assured of the support they may need if they are disabled or as they get older. The PSA is developing a 5 point plan (Staying In Place - sometimes referred to as the Pingelly Project ) to ensure that people will no longer need to worry about being lonely, becoming frail or dependent on care and support (even to a nursing home level of service), having a disability, or becoming isolated if they choose to live at home in Pingelly and surrounding districts.
