Pingelly Community Wellbeing Plan
In 2017, The Pingelly Community Resource Centre, working with Holyoake and the Mental Health Commission, gathered together a group of key Pingelly community and regional stakeholders for a series of workshops with the aim of developing an Alcohol and Other Drug Community Management Plan for Pingelly to find ways of working collaboratively to bring positive change to our community in relation to Alcohol and Other Drugs. This plan was developed with the guidance of Eloise Fewster of Holyoake, with support from the Mental Health Commission. During the process of developing the plan, the group identified the possibility of combining the plan with a Pingelly Community Suicide Prevention Plan, as the stakeholders, priority areas and many actions would be similar in both plans. Work began in 2018 to knit the two plans together, and the end result is a living document called the “Pingelly Community Wellbeing Plan”, accompanied by a Terms of Reference and a Communications Plan.
The initial focus of the plan is around raising awareness about Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health/Suicide Awareness, and about promoting the adoption of Good Sports by our local sporing groups.
The Pingelly Community Wellbeing Plan and Terms of Reference are available here for interested members of the community to read:
